You are absolutely correct, and I stand humbly corrected! Thanks for posting that. I, mistakenly, passed information I received from a reliable source, or was reliable, because I felt I did a great wrong by making fun of two of the three men mentioned. Fred Rogers is more like a Suburban legend than Urban. Lee Marvin will always be cool regardless of his past achievements. I think I'll dig a little deeper, my curiosity is up now.

Thanks for posting this. However, While both Lee Marvin and Captain Kangaroo did serve in the marines - Mr. Rogers never did. The first time I started receiving these e-mails I checked out snopes. Marvin and Keeshan did not serve together.

You should check out snopes. While this makes for a great story - it is only partly true. Nevertheless - both Marvin and Keeshan are still heroes.
