Baptist Minister(s) Pray for Obama's Death

Now I've seen everything! What the hell is with that? I thought Rev. Wright was bad enough but this takes the cake. I'm without words on this, when a man of God prays for the death of another. I am glad to see his flock scattered after that revelation like someone pulled the pin on a grenade. Rev. Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, AZ isn't the only 'man of the cloth' to pray for death. Baptist Minister (and former second vice president of the Souther Baptist Convention) Wiley Drake reportedly said that he is offering an “imprecatory prayer” for the death of President Obama.

I'm sorry, but what's up with the white Baptist ministers these days? I don't see any black ministers praying to their vengeful God to KILL, KILL, KILL! People accused the Muslim God of that kind of thing. See, now I just learned something new! These two Baptist ministers have taught me that the Baptist God of Israel is a vengeful deity.

I sure am glad that I was raised with the God who believes in life and forgiveness. The bastard they follow is cold-hearted and murderous if he's expected to kill on prayers!

I don't get these people who are supposedly pastors and preaching death from the pulpit. If I were them I would watch out for lightening strikes. The real problem lies with those who will abide what these people say as though it is the gospel truth. It is both frightening and despicable.

Oh, My God! What do we do? I mean, how can we protect the President from God? The Secret Service actually showed up at the church in AZ, do they have a game plan on how they might protect the President from the wrath of the Almighty? Maybe we should start praying to, you know, try and appease the Lord, and sackcloth and ashes probably wouldn't hurt either.

Oh, by the way, a hyperlink to the news story would have been nice!

Good point about the links, I usually do link them. I was so pissed about what one minister had done and in researching it I found another demonic Christian praying for death and you know ......
You think the ashes might work? What about a full dip cup? If they weren't chewing(dipping) it would have been burned leaf ashes!

He must be starved for attention or national publicity for his church because Christianity and its teachings are nowhere near what this man is saying. Christ’s life exemplified love for ALL people. He associated with the lowest of low and had compassion towards them.

http://www.thejourneysproject.com/ — this depcits the God of Chrisitanity and the Jesus Christ I serve.

Obviously this ‘pastor’ skipped the message of Matthew 5:44 where Jesus says: “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
He has no formal education, no expertise in religious doctrine, no real grasp of logic, no structured common sense and no conscience on civil decency regarding humanity. As a Christian, this man is an embarrassment and an insult to my faith.

I heard this as well. Freakin' nutjobs. I may disagree with Obama on his policies and his attempt to force big government on this country - but - I don't want to see any harm come to him.

These guys are supposed to be men of God. They need to turn in their frocks immediately.

BoBo, I think their flocks need to cull them from their herds before their hoof IN mouth gets worse! What they said really pushes the boundaries of free speech, and I'm 100% for 'constructive' free speech, not destructive.
